If you do not want random numbers and want a specific sequence i.e. last 4 digits of the student's home number, you would need our Professional Services Team to create that for you.

Admin Login and Cube Setup

Before using the device, you need to register fingerprints using the admin login on the cube. Perform the following steps:

  1. Login as an admin.
  2. If the mode is not configured, look for the "Settings" option in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
  3. There are three ways to log in: keypad, fingerprint, or RFID (if registered). For the first-time setup without fingerprint registration, use the keypad to access the admin setup.
  4. Enter the keypad number that matches the staff number in the Admire program under the staff browser. This is set by your organization.

Setting Modes for Devices

As an admin, you can set the mode for each individual device or for all devices. The modes determine the actions taken when someone scans their finger on a particular device. Perform the following steps:

  1. Select the desired mode for each device or individual staff member.
    • Staff sign in: Staff signing in to work.
    • Meal attendance: Students taking a meal.
    • Attendance: Student sign in.
  2. You can also set the modes in Admire by navigating to Action Pad, setup, and device setup. However, it is easier to set the modes directly on the device itself.

Setting Location

To prevent students from signing in outside their classrooms, you can set different locations for attendance tracking.
This will provide you with reports if students sign in from unauthorized areas.
Follow these steps to set locations:

  1. Access the device or Admire system.
  2. Set the attendance for individual classrooms or other specific areas.

Fingerprint Registration

To register fingerprints for staff or students, follow the steps below:

  1. Enter the student or staff number (obtained from Admire) using the keypad or scroll through the list.
  2. You may need to perform the fingerprint registration process twice. The device will prompt you through the necessary steps.
