Payment Quick Entry allows for faster processing of payment entries. Instead of opening each account, going to payments and adding a new payment, it allows you to search for the account id (or key it in) and add new payments without opening each account.
- Go to Financials - Quick Payment
- Key in the Check Scan # (if you use check scanning module) and click on .
- Click on "Account ID" to bring up the search screen to search for the right account. Otherwise you can key in the Account ID if you know it. Once the account ID is listed, the account information will be listed on the screen. To open the account for more details, click on the Folder icon .
Note #1:The pushpin icon next to the payment date, method, batch, and notes fields in the quick payment screen, allows you to set the selected item as the default for the current session (until this window is closed). This is useful when entering many payments at once, and one of these options is going to be the same for each of them. Ex: If you are entering many checks received in one mailing, select 'Check' as method, select the date, and click the pushpins near both options. After the 'Save and New' button is clicked, for a particular payment, the new payment will have the method set to 'Check' and the correct date will already be selected. This saves you the time from selecting the options with each payment.
Note #2: On the bottom of the Quick Payment screen there is the Session Summary.
This is a small summary that shows the payments quantity and total amount entered within the current session. Click 'Clear' to clear the information and start a new count. Click 'Detail' for a breakdown of the summary.
Processing the payment:
Clicking Save and Close will save the payment and close the quick entry screen
Clicking Save and New will save the payment and keep the quick payment screen open so that new payments can be entered.
