Meal Eligibility

Article Summary





Students are able to be enrolled in meals and have their eligibility status marked.

There are a few ways to enter the meal eligibility:

  1. Single student entry - Student Browser
  2. Bulk student entry - Meal Eligibility Admin
  3. Student Advancement Wizard
1. Single student entry 
  1. Open the student's record in the Student browser [School > Students ]
  2. Click on the 'Meals/bus' tab in the student's record
  3. Click on 'New' to add meals for the current student 

The 'Meal Eligibility' screen will appear:


Select the 'Meal', 'Eligibility', and 'Effective Date' that applies to the student, from the drop down lists.      

You can also check off the income statuses which apply to the student.

Eligibility status:

  1. Free- government covers payment in full
  2. Paid- parent is responsible for payment
  3. Reduced- government covers partial payment and parent is responsible for remaining cost
  • Mark the meal as declined if the student chooses not to take lunches for a meal which is active.

To edit a student's meal eligibility click on the meal and then click 'Edit'.

2. Bulk student entry 

You can add or update meal eligibility in bulk.

Go to: School > Meals > Meal Eligibility Admin

You can filter for the students that you want to pull up. 

Enter in the meal and eligibility information and click 'process'.
