Navigating the Student Browser

The student browser is one of the most commonly viewed screens in the school module. All of a student’s contact, family, class, course, schedule, attendance, and marks information can be viewed directly from the student browser.

Opening the Student Browser

To open the Student Browser go to: School>>Students

Selecting the student

  • The left pane will list all the students in Admire if "Student Lookup" is chosen and the Search button is clicked. 
  • To only list students currently in school choose 'Current Students'. 
  • You can also choose 'Student Lookup by Name' to search by a last name. 


  • You can limit your list by checking off the filter box and selecting the criteria to filter by.
  • Click 'Search' to load the filtered list.

  • Select a student by clicking on their name in the left pane to load their information on the main section of the Student Browser.

The Student

  • The top area displays the student’s name and address as well as the parent's names and account ID#.

  • The responsible Account is the Account which is responsible to pay the student’s tuition. If nothing is filled it is assumed that the default account is responsible.

Divorced Parents
For a scenario of divorced parents where each parent wants a contract, you can set the responsible account to parent 1 and generate a contract for them. Then change the responsible account to parent 2 and generate a contract for them. You will now have in the tuition contact screen a tuition contact for each of the accounts. 
  • Filling in an account number in the responsible account text box populates the bottom area with the information of the responsible account ID.


  • You can change the student status to Applicant, Student, or Alumnus by selecting the appropriate choice from the drop down menu.

  • Registration Information is displayed in the top right corner of the screen. This is where you will see the terms, registration status, and grade for each student. 
  • You can add/edit registration information for a student in this area by right clicking in the registration area.

 

Leaving in middle of a term
If a student leaves in the middle of the year, the registration status should be changed to Withdrew along with the end date that they are leaving. The Student status should also be changed to alumnus.
