You can enter penalties for poor attendance within the system. 

There are two ways to enter penalties:

1. Add Penalty (School >> Penalties >> Add Penalty)

2. Create Penalties (School >> Penalties >> Create Penalties)

"Create Penalties" allows you to create penalties based on the student’s attendance.

1. Add Penalty

Go to School >> Penalties >> Add Penalty

The "Penalty" screen will appear.

Select the Term, Student Name, Penalty, and Date Redeemed (optional).

Click "OK" to save the penalty.

The penalty you created will now appear when you go to "View Penalties".

Note: Scroll down to the end of this article to see how to use the List Editor to add a new penalty type.     

2. Create Penalties

To create penalties based off attendance records go to: 

School >> Penalties >> Create Penalties


The  "Create Penalties" screen will appear:

  1. Choose a filter (optional) and Click "Search" to search for the desired attendance records that you would like to create penalties for (ex: all unexcused absences)
  2. Select the records to create penalties for
  3. Choose the number of attendance records per penalty and the penalty

Note: You can customize the way penalties are created – based off your attendance rules. Be in touch with Admire Support.

    4. Click on 'Process' to create the penalties. The Penalties you create will appear in the right area of the screen.

Viewing Penalties

  1. Go to School >> Penalties >> View Penalties
  2. Select the term
  3. Select if you want to view unredeemed penalties only or all penalties including history.

You can filter on the student you’d like to view redeemed and unredeemed penalties for.

When viewing all penalties, you can narrow the list down by filtering on the redeem date range.

  1. "Load List"
  2. You can update the unredeemed penalties by adding in the redeem date of the penalty by double clicking in the redeem date cell to enter the date. Click Apply or OK to update. (You can also add notes to the penalty)
  3. You can add a new Penalty by clicking on "New Penalty". This will bring you to the Add penalty screen.
  4. To view any attendance links to this penalty, right click and select “View Links…”

Note: To add a new penalty type use the list editor by following the steps below:

1. Go to "Tools".


 


2. Select "List Editor".


 


3. Click on "Editable Lists".

4. Click on "Penalties".

5. Click in this field.

6. Enter the new penalty and press the arrow.

7. Click "OK" to save.
