Setting up the NFC Cards (fobs):

NFC Write:

• Make sure you are on the Action Pad home-screen (White background with Admire logo and student sitting in a desk)
• Select the "NFC Write" button
• You will be prompted "Please insert your NFC card."
• Take the fob you are setting up and place in on the black plastic part of the Action Pad below the screen.  (Do not place it on the screen itself.)  You may need to move the fob around to trigger it.
• The following will appear on your screen:
  Confirm your credentials then scan your NFC Card
  Username
  Password
  Subdomain (Optional)
  Grey button saying "Ready to add my credentials"
• Tap "Username" and a keyboard will pop up
• Use the Keyboard to type in the Username of this fob's user  (see instructions below for how to use the keyboard)
• Do the same for "Password"
• Do NOT enter anything by "Subdomain (Optional)"
• Press the button that says "Ready to add my credentials", button will turn blue.
• A message will pop up on the bottom of the screen saying "Please tap your NFC card to complete writing".
• Take the fob you are setting up and place in on the black plastic part of the Action Pad below the screen.  (Do not place it on the screen itself.)  You may need to move the fob around to trigger it.
  Remember!

  You must swipe the card immediately after you press the blue button "Ready to add..."
  If you do NOT swipe it right away the fob will NOT get updated.
  Press the "Ready to add.." button again and try again!
• If it works and the NFC Card/fob gets updated this message will appear on the bottom of the screen: "Credentials added to NFC"
  If you get the following message: "NFC error try again":

  Don't worry just press the "Ready to add..." button again and reswipe the card.
  Keep trying until you get the "Credentials added to NFC" message.

How to use the Action Pad Keyboard:

• Tap the letter/number for it to appear as text.
• Use the Up arrow (RED BOX) in the bottom left to switch from upper/lower case.
• Tap the ?123/ABC (BLUE BOX) in the bottom left corner (in small letters) to switch to numbers/letters.
• Use the back arrow with the x in it (PURPLE CIRCLE) to backspace.
• Use the light green circle with the white arrow (ORANGE BOX) in the bottom right to go to the next line.
• Use the white arrow (PINK BOX) in the bottom left corner on the black space to hide the keyboard.

Exiting the NFC Write Screen:

To Exit the NFC Write app:

• Go back to the home-screen by taking your finger and swiping it from the top right corner of the screen to the top left.
• Put the device into screensaver mode by briefly clicking in the button on the right (or wait till it goes to sleep itself). When you wake up the device by pressing the button on the right of the action pad it will open to the home-screen.
