Azure Desktop:

Azure Desktop allows you to connect directly to your own desktop computer.  This enables you to save/upload directly to/from your own files.

How to Save/Download files on Azure Desktop:

  1. On the Desktop version of Azure there is no need to "Download" your files.  Instead you can "Save" them directly to your computer. 
  2. Click the Save button
  3.  This will bring up the "Save As" screen.
    1. Click on "This PC" which shows on the left side.  Now it will show all the drives on your computer.
    2.  The C drive is your local computer - most people save to this one
      The S drive might be a shared company drive - some people do use this one.
    3.  Select the drive that you are using (usually the C)
  4.  Click on Users
  5.  Find your user folder and open it.  
  6.  This should bring you to your local computer folders.
  7.  You can now choose to save the file where ever you want.
  8. Give you File a name and hit the Save button
  9.  Saving a Report or an Export are both done in the same manner.
    It is good to know:
    Once you choose where to save a file/export the first time, it generally will open up the next time to the previous location.

    How to Upload files on Azure Desktop:

1. Upload files to Azure desktop is simple and does not require using the "Uploads" button.  
In fact it is not featured at all in the Desktop version of Azure.  It is very similar to the above instructions on how to Save/Download files.

2. When you need to load a file/image/picture/logo to your Admire you would click on:

a. The "Browse..." button where available
b. In the ReportDesigner, there are 2 places where you can upload a file/image/picture/logo:
*1* Add Unbound Picture button:

Just select the circled button.

*2* Add Bound Picture button:

Select the above circled button
Then in the left sidebar find the Picture option, place your cursor in the blank box next to it and select the "..." button

3. Opening either of these 3 buttons should bring up the "Open" screen

4. Click on "This PC" which shows on the left side.  Now it will show all the drives on your computer.

5. Search in the Drive where the file/image/picture/logo you want is saved to find it.
a. Usually it is on the C drive.
b. Then select "Users".
c. Then select your user file.

6. This should bring you to your local desktop where you can search for the file/image/picture/logo.
7. Select the file/image/picture/logo that you want and hit the "Open" button.
