Linking

Related accounts link one account to another, so that you know what the relationship is between the two accounts. For example when linking a son to his parents, the link on the son's account would say "his parents" and on the parents account it would read "their son". It also allows you to open the related accounts directly from the relatives' accounts. An account can have an unlimited number of related accounts.

Entering Related Accounts:

• Search for and open one of the two accounts you would like to link. (Either side of the relationship)
• Go to Related Accounts in the upper right of the account screen

  • Click on the drop down arrow
  • Click on New Relation (this will bring up the quick search screen)
  • Search for and select the account you would like to link to
  • Select the relationship type - this is the relationship of the second account to the first. For example you are on John Smith's account, you are linking his mother Jane Smith to his account so you would select His Mother as the relationship type.

  • The link will automatically be added to the second account with the corresponding relationship. I.E. if you added Jane Smith to John Smith's account as His Mother, John Smith will automatically be added to Jane Smith's account as Her Son.

Jumping from one related account to another:

If an account has related accounts on it there will be a number in the related accounts box indicating the number of relationships to this account. If there are no related accounts it would say 0 Related Accounts.

Select the relative from the drop down so that the name is displayed in the related accounts box

Click on the folder to open the related account

Editing the relation Type

• Select the related Account
• Use the drop down arrow to Edit

Deleting a relation

• Select the related account
• Use the drop down arrow to Delete
