Custom Fields
What is a Field?
- This is similar in concept to the farmer's field in which a portion of land is set aside for a specific produce, one field is for corn and another is for wheat.
In Computer Language a field refers to "a part of a record, representing an item of data".
For example, a field can be "Last Name" or "Payment Date".- The "Last Name" field will include all the Last Names for the accounts in your database.
- "Payment Date" field will include all the dates of the payments entered into your database.

Custom Fields give you the option to sort and organize data based on fields custom to your needs.
Additionally, they can be used in reporting or to be printed on documentation.
Almost all of your old Admire associations are now custom fields in the Admire Rebuild.

- A Custom Field is a data field that is not part of the ordinary Admire and is custom to your organization and its needs.
Example would be:- "Neighborhood": if in your database you would like to have accounts organizable by which "Neighborhood" people live in. You can add this custom field to the Accounts section and populate it.
You can also set up a custom dropdown list of Neighborhoods to choose from.
Then you would have the ability to filter based on this field. - "Liluy Nishmas Name": if in your database you would like to have a "Liluy Nishmas Name" printed on all receipts from a certain type of donation, you can add this custom field on the Pledge section, populate it and have it print on the receipt.
- "Neighborhood": if in your database you would like to have accounts organizable by which "Neighborhood" people live in. You can add this custom field to the Accounts section and populate it.
