What is a Donation Schedule
This refers to a set of scheduled commitments, each with a specific due date and dollar amount. Donation Schedules are used for recurring pledges or a large pledge split over a certain time period. This schedule may have payments applied to it or it may not.
The new Admire offers two different types of Donation Schedules. Which one used will depend on certain factors.
Installments Schedule
The Installment Schedule is used for a pledge with an established dollar amount or a fixed time period that requires a billing schedule of spread out due dates. Installments may be set up with head-checks or automatic payments but can also be set up to be billed only.
For example, a donor pledges $1,200.00 to your Dinner 2024 Campaign. The donor requests to be billed $100 over 12 months.
You set up a pledge with an installment schedule to be billed $100 for 12 months.
For example, a donor pledges $18 for 10 months to your Parlor Meeting 2024.
You set up a pledge of $180 with an installment schedule to be billed $18 for 10 months.
Recurring Donation
Recurring donations is used for an open ended pledge without a long term set dollar amount but needs to be billed at regular intervals for a specific amount. Recurring donations always include automatic payments.
For example, a donor pledges $100 monthly towards your General Donation 2024 Campaign without detonating a time limit/end date or total dollar amount.
You set up a recurring pledge for $100 a month.
