Payment Types
Payment Types are very specific and tell Admire what kind of payment this is and how it should be handled by the Admire system.
There are five Payment Types available: Cash, Check, Credit Card, Non Cash and Zelle.
Cash
These payments can be added to a batch.
No fields for Check Number/Credit Card number.
Check
These payments can be added to a batch.
Has Check Number field.
Has a place to store check image.
Credit Card
These payments can be added to a batch.
Credit Card batches have a feature called Auto-batching.
This means they are set to auto close at the time they go out to get settled by the Credit Card processor.
Admire reaches out to your credit card processor to coordinate the correct time when the batch should auto-close.
If you are entering a Credit Card payment that was already billed via a third party gateway (not Admire and not an Admire friendly gateway like Banquest/Cardknox rather PayPay or stripe) use the type Other (see below).
These payments can be billed directly through Admire.
Payments made elsewhere but via the same gateway (Example: donation page but uses Banquest/Cardknox) can be manually batched.
These payments have a drop-down:
The credit card number gets entered there.
It also lists all available credit cards on file.
Non Cash
These payments cannot be added to a batch.
This is for non-monetary donations, for example a donation of toys or office supplies.
No fields for Check Number/Credit Card Number etc.
Zelle
These payments have a feature called Auto-batching to a single-payment batch.
This means that Admire will create and close a batch for that payment alone.
No fields for Check Number/Credit Card Number etc.
Other
Similar to Cash that it can be added to a batch.
No fields for Check Number/Credit Card number.
Use this type for Credit Card payments that were already billed via a third party gateway (not Admire and not an Admire friendly processor like Banquest/Cardknox such as Paypal/Stripe).
