There are 4 ways to enter marks into Admire
Adrenaline – The teacher/secretary will use her log in. (Recommended)
Marks Import – Export a spreadsheet from Admire and Import it back in (not recommended)
Marks Entry – School >> Marks >> Marks Entry
On individual Student – Open the Student in the student browser go to marks tab and click add / edit (on the right)
Adrenaline:
Log into your Adrenaline
Go to Report Cards >> Entry
Teachers will only see their courses, while secretaries will be able to choose which grade or class .
There are 2 columns to be filled out, one is for the mark and the other for the comment.
You can stretch the comment column by pressing the little paper with an arrow.
You also have the option to give all students the same mark by entering the mark on top and pressing the down arrow. If you would like to clear all marks you can leave the box on top empty and press the down arrow.
Marks Import:
Go to the Report Wizard and choose Run Export
Choose the Report Report Card – Marks Export
Add a filter to select specific a specific course or teacher and export. You can run the export once per teacher and give the spreadsheet to each teacher to fill out.
Please note: Editing the spreadsheet will not allow the import to work! Please be very careful not to edit or sort the spreadsheet. Do not edit headers, remove, move or sort columns. Be sure to enter the grades in the correct columns with the correct values. Any other edits will cause the data import to error. You can hide columns if necessary.
Columns in the export:
MRT_Display – This is the Marking Element Name (should not be edited)
MRK_LetterMark – Enter the letter mark here (if using)
MRK_NumberMark – Enter the number mark here (if using)
MRK_Comment1, MRK_Comment2, MRK_Comment3 – available to be customized (Setup comment names)
MRK_Comment4 – these are the comments that will appear in the comments section (generally on the back of the report card).
You can use code numbers that you entered in the comment 4 setup.
The other columns include marking element IDs and other data related to the marks – do not touch or sort these columns.
Importing Marks to Admire:
Save the file on your computer as an xls or xlsx (the export downloads as a csv, so you will need to resave)
If using Admire Unlimited, upload to TSclient>> uploads (https://admire.document360.io/docs/uploading-files-to-admire-unlimited)
In Admire go to School >> Marks >> Mark Import
Select the file, then select the sheet and press load.
Select the Marks that you want to import, or select all.
The cell will highlight red if this mark is not in the Mark Value list
The text will highlight red if there is already data in Admire for that cell. By selecting this row you are telling admire to use this data instead of what you have currently in the system for this cell.
Press Import
Marks Entry Screen:
Go to School >> Marks >> Mark Entry
Choose the Marking Period. You can choose to load marking elements by Student, Marking Period, or Course.
Load the list, edit as needed and save your changes.
Notice that cells highlighted in red have values that are not in the Mark Value List .
